TrueClays calculates pellet behavior, clay movement and lead timing using real ballistic principles.
Cartridge selection, choke configuration and shot spread directly affect performance exactly as they would in real shooting.
The simulator is designed to reproduce the timing and visual relationship between shooter and target as closely as possible.
TrueClays does not simply register a hit marker after the shot. The system actually detects the shot in real time, performs ballistic calculations, simulates pellet travel and clay interaction, and breaks the target within approximately the same timeframe as in real shooting.
Because the clay breaks naturally and instantly based on the actual point of impact, the fragments travel in believable directions that the shooter subconsciously begins to understand after only a few shots — often without even realizing it.
This creates a form of instinctive learning that is difficult to achieve with traditional simulators that simply display “hit here” or “miss there” after the shot. TrueClays focuses on reproducing the natural visual feedback and timing the brain expects from real clay shooting.

TrueClays is designed with extremely high positional accuracy combined with ultra-fast response timing. Together, these are what create the real hand-eye coordination and authentic "feel" required for serious clay shooting training.
Some people believe laser-based systems cannot achieve the required precision for realistic shooting simulation — this may have been true in the past. TrueClays proves otherwise in 2026 with shot detection accuracy approaching approximately 0.1 pixel precision for determining where the shot was placed.

Advanced Analytics
Measure It, Or You Are Guessing
Every shot is stored — hit or miss, how many pellets struck the clay, the energy they carried, the distance to the target and where the pattern landed in relation to it.
That detail is what separates a clean break from a lucky edge chip. Two shooters can both score 24, and the data will show that one of them was on the target all day and the other was rescued by pattern edges.
Results are aggregated per discipline and per round type, so a weakness shows up as a number rather than a feeling.

Squad Shooting
Shoot Together in a Squad
TrueClays supports multiple shooters in the same session, allowing you to train or compete together just like on a real range.
Shooters rotate into the same shooting position. For Skeet, the system follows normal squad rotation. For Trap, you can choose to rotate every shot or every 5 shots.
Rotation every shot is possible, but naturally creates more walking. Each participating gun requires its own laser and trigger.

Squad Rotation Simulation
Train the Waiting, Too
Alone in the simulator you can fire shot after shot with no pause. On a real range you never can — you shoot, you step down, and you wait while five other shooters take their turns before it is your call again.
That wait is part of the discipline. It is where concentration drops, where the gun mount goes cold, and where competitions are quietly lost. Squad rotation simulation puts it back into solo training.
Set how many shooters are in the imagined squad and a minimum and maximum time per shooter. TrueClays holds you between your turns for a randomised time inside those limits, so the rhythm never becomes predictable.
Two cue modes are available. In audible mode the real call and shot sounds play for the shooters ahead of you, so you hear the squad working through the stand and know your turn is approaching. In timer mode a countdown is shown on screen instead.
A separate microphone activation delay controls how soon after the last shooter you are allowed to call — so you cannot simply call the instant the sound stops.
Rotation follows the discipline itself: in Skeet the handover happens once the stand programme is complete, while the Trap family hands over target by target.
Why It Matters
Shooting twenty-five targets back to back builds a rhythm that does not exist in competition. The gun stays up, the eyes stay warm, and every shot rides on the momentum of the last one.
With squad rotation enabled, each target has to be earned from cold — exactly as it is when you step onto a stand on a real range.

Custom Skeet Sessions
Skeet Sequence Builder
A full round of Skeet gives you a handful of repetitions on the target you actually struggle with. A custom session gives you a hundred.
Build a training programme line by line: choose the stand and the target sequence for each line, set the clay speed, and decide whether the programme repeats until you stop it.
Programmes are saved by name and can be re-run whenever you want, so a drill built around one specific weakness becomes a permanent part of your routine instead of something you configure once and lose.

The ISSF tables are built in and ready to shoot. When you need something they do not cover, you can build the table yourself.
Every machine is set individually — fifteen throwers across five stands, each with its own angle and height. You can go further and define the angles shot by shot, exactly as a real table specification does.
Randomised angle and height variation can be added on top, so the table cannot be memorised. Custom tables are saved with your setup and can be reset to defaults at any time.

Remote Coaching
Send the Shot, Not the Story
Most shooters do not have a coach standing behind them, and describing a miss over the phone rarely helps anyone.
TrueClays lets you export a shot or a full sequence as a clip directly from the app and share it with your coach through a link. The coach opens it in a browser — no installation, no hardware, no TrueClays account required.
Because the clip carries the recorded barrel movement alongside the shot itself, the coach sees what the gun did, not only whether the clay broke.
Video filmed on a phone can be attached to the same session through a secure upload link, so an outside camera angle sits next to the simulator data. Shared clips are managed from your own account and can be removed whenever you want.
