System settings

The technical heart of the installation — screen geometry, camera and tracker hardware, graphics, and administration. Most of this is set once when the system is commissioned. A few everyday settings live here too, like the UI theme and the configuration PIN.

Where this fits

Open Configuration from the main screen, then the System tab. Press Apply to save and Cancel to discard.

Mostly technician territory. Screen dimensions, camera and tracker settings, and calibration timing are set at installation to match your hardware and room. Changing them can stop shots or the tracker from working correctly — if you're not commissioning the system, the settings you'll normally touch are the UI theme, graphics preset, and the configuration PIN.

Calibration & timing

Projector frame delay Default 26 for 120 Hz · 0 for 240 Hz ST · 8 for 240 Hz UST Compensates for your projector's latency so shots register in the right place. Set it to match your projector's refresh mode using the defaults above.

Call detection

How the microphone hears your call to release the clay.

Peak level that must be reached The volume threshold your call must hit to trigger a throw. Raise it if background noise sets off false calls; lower it if quiet calls are missed. This tunes the whole setup and applies to both detectors.
Microphone sensitivity Overall input sensitivity of the microphone.

Screen

The physical geometry of your screen and shooting position. These must match your real measurements — they're the basis for correct target sizing and aim.

Screen width Width of the projection surface, in centimetres.
Screen to eye distance Distance from the shooter to the screen, in centimetres.
Floor to screen distance Height from the floor to the bottom of the screen, in centimetres.
Screen height (0 = auto) Screen height in centimetres, or 0 to calculate it automatically from the width and aspect.
Screen brightness Brightness of the projected image.
Measurement units Metric or Imperial — switches every measurement across configuration between centimetres/metres and inches/feet.

Interface

UI theme Applied instantly — no Apply needed The colour theme for every configuration panel. The change takes effect immediately and is saved automatically, so the Apply button isn't involved for this setting.

Graphics

Visual quality versus performance. Tune these to your PC's capability.

Graphics quality preset Overall quality level — the quickest single lever for performance.
Use post processing (nicer graphics) Extra visual polish; costs some performance.
240 Hz (requires hardware) Enables 240 Hz operation — only if your projector and PC support it.
Use GPU over CPU Offloads work to the graphics card. Leave on unless you have a specific reason not to.
Use shadows (performance heavy) Renders shadows. Turn off first if you need to claw back frame rate.

Reader (shot-detection cameras)

The cameras that detect where your shot lands. These are commissioned with your hardware — change them only when setting up or troubleshooting a camera.

Inverted cameras Flips the camera image, for rigs mounted upside down.
Camera hardware Which reader camera model is fitted.
Calibration version Which calibration method the reader uses.
Threshold, Exposure, Brightness, Contrast The camera's detection tuning — how bright and how sensitive it is to a laser hit. Set during camera setup.
Shotdetection frameskip How many frames to skip between detections — a performance trade-off.
Enable FAST mode detection A faster detection mode.
Cam 1 / Cam 2 extra argument Advanced command-line arguments passed to each camera. Leave blank unless support asks you to set them.

Tracker (barrel-tracking camera)

The camera that follows your barrel. Only relevant on systems with tracking hardware.

Enable tracker (requires hardware) Turns barrel tracking on. Leave off if no tracker is fitted.
Tracker hardware Which tracker model is fitted.
Threshold, Brightness, Contrast Detection tuning for the tracker camera, set during setup.

Administration

Configuration pin Set to 0000 to disable The PIN that guards entry to Configuration. Set 0000 to remove the lock entirely.
Hide system features in main screen Hides the system-level calibration strip on the main screen, for a cleaner customer-facing setup.
Log level How much diagnostic detail the system records. Higher is more verbose — useful when support is helping you chase an issue.
Developer features (for debugging) Enables extra debugging tools. Leave off in normal use.
Send debug log (require internet) Action button Uploads a diagnostic log to TrueClays — do this when support asks for it.
Reset highscore (force) Action button Clears the local high-score records. This cannot be undone.

Reset highscore is permanent. It wipes this system's saved high scores with no undo. Only use it when you genuinely want a clean slate.

Quick start

Screen, Reader, Tracker and timing are set at installation — leave them unless commissioning.
Pick a UI theme (applies instantly) and a graphics preset for your PC.
Set the configuration PIN, or 0000 to disable it.
Adjust call detection peak level if calls are missed or falsely triggered.
Press Apply (the theme aside, which saves itself).

System settings user guide. Most settings here are configured at installation to match your hardware and room; changing screen, camera, tracker or timing values can stop the system working correctly.
