NVT & Recoil Simulator: Executive Summary
High-Performance Neurological Training for Elite Shooters
✅ GETTING STARTED: Both the NVT and Recoil Simulator must be toggled ON in the Configuration -> Generic screen to be active. For detailed troubleshooting, visit the NVT Q&A Resource .
1. The NVT 3-Step Rhythm
The NVT is a "Neurological Weight Vest" that forces the brain into Smooth Pursuit tracking.
The "Information Lock." Aggressively lock onto the target to calculate vector and speed.
The "Trust Flow." The bird jitters or blurs. Do not hunt the edges; let your body flow along the predicted path.
When the clay "Pops" back to clarity—Bang! If you held the line, the bird will reappear exactly on your barrel.
For Skeet, there are individual settings per shooter and stand. As your simulator hardware may limit visual height on Station 1, or you may have a look point further out, you can adjust exactly when the NVT sequence should start and compress the sequence duration to ensure you can execute the shot in time.
2. Advanced Recoil Simulation
This engine replicates the physical concussive shock of a live shot. By simulating retinal blur immediately after the trigger pull, it trains you to rapidly re-acquire focal lock for the second target.
| Gauge | Recoil Recovery (ms) | Training Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 12-Gauge | 150 ms | Simulates Olympic-level recovery window for doubles. |
| 20-Gauge | 120 ms | Standard field-load simulation. |
| .410 Bore | 60 ms | Precision mode; instant sight-picture return. |
Note: 150ms for 12-Gauge covers the peak of muzzle flip and the "settle" of the head back onto the comb of the stock.
⚠️ TROUBLESHOOTING DIZZINESS
Dizziness confirms the system is working. It means you are "hard-locking" on the jitter. Adopt "Soft Eyes"—widen your vision and focus on the flight path, not the ghost. Dizziness vanishes the moment you quiet your eyes. See more in our Q&A.
