Discipline settings
Rules and tuning for specific disciplines — Skeet timing and ISSF options, Trap clay speed and squad rotation, and the Helice thrower physics. Set these to match how your club runs each discipline.
Where this fits
Open Configuration from the main screen, then the Discipline tab. These settings are system-wide and apply whenever the relevant discipline is played. Press Apply to save, Cancel to discard, or Reset to restore standard defaults.
Clay speed affects scoring. The speed adjustments here change how hard targets are for everyone. Adjust deliberately, and use Reset if a discipline starts playing differently than expected.
Skeet
Timing, target behaviour, and ISSF-specific rules for skeet.
- Clay speed adjustment Tunes skeet clay speed. Lower is slower and easier; higher is faster.
- Use skeet timer Enables the random delay between your call and the throw. The two delay fields below set its range.
- Minimum & maximum timer delay The shortest and longest wait before the clay launches after your call. The actual delay varies randomly between the two, so you can't anticipate it.
- Clay fragments from other ranges Shows stray fragments from neighbouring layouts, for a more realistic busy-ground feel.
- Use ISSF indicator lights on houses Displays the ISSF-style indicator lights on the high and low houses.
- Low ceiling mode (stations 1 & 8) Adapts stations 1 and 8 for a low-ceiling venue.
- Low ceiling angle limit The angle limit applied in low-ceiling mode.
Trap
- Clay speed adjustment Tunes trap clay speed, the same way as the skeet setting.
- Squad rotation speed How often the squad rotates position — after every clay, or after every five shots.
Helice
Physics for the Helice (ZZ) target — the spinning propeller that must be knocked down with its centre detached. These control how hard it is to bring one down and how it flies.
- Force required How solidly the Helice must be struck to count as downed. Higher demands a cleaner hit.
- Max random flight path force How much the flight path can randomly vary, for unpredictable targets.
- Initial velocity The launch speed of the Helice.
- Thrower max upward / downward angle The vertical range the thrower can launch within.
- Thrower max sideways angle How far left or right the thrower can angle.
Standard Helice. The defaults (force 900, velocity 18.3 m/s, angles 11° up / 7° down / 30° sideways) reflect normal Helice behaviour. Reset restores all of them if you've been experimenting.
Quick start
- Open Configuration → Discipline.
- Set skeet timing (timer on, min/max delay) to how your club runs it.
- Pick the trap squad rotation speed.
- Leave Helice at defaults unless you're setting a non-standard course.
- Press Apply.
